The resort of Méribel - in the heart of Les Trois Vallées
Méribel is situated 1450 meters above sea level in the heart of “Les Trois Vallées” (Méribel, Courchevel, Ménuires, and Val Thorens). It is the biggest resort of the world with 600 km of trails, 200 ski lifts and about 100 snow-blowers create the perfect skiing conditions.
Méribel prides itself on possessing excellent private ski courses available for skiers at all levels, cross country skiing zones, 3 parks, a reserved area for snowboarding, and an Olympic park (dating from the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games). The Olympic park contains a skating rink where one can not only ice skate but take part in ice go-carting. Méribel also provides ski and snow bike rentals and offers dog sleigh rides.
With 49 green trails and 89 blue trails for beginner skiers, 119 red trails for intermediate skiers and 37 black trails and multiple opportunities to ski off track for advanced skiers, Méribel has something for everyone. The skiing season starts in December and ends in April.
For your evenings, you will find many excellent restaurants and for later at night, bars and nightclub will welcome all partiers. The resort also offers free transport which will allow you get around easily, as well as day-care service for the children.
